V very soon became an artist of images, maybe to survive in his dyslexic universe, surely driven by his taste for the (endless!) research in art and life, and by his passion for travels – of mind and of feet – in his continuous quest for Light throughout shadows.
in the ‘90, right after he graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, and After some working experiences as a jr set designer for a few tv commercials, V directed his art to the (then-booming in Italy) world of tattoos. opening a first parlor in Milan and then a second one in the countryside.
Since then, when he’s not tattooing, he’s drawing and painting – and loving, cooking, breaking and fixing things, exploring the world, ...
As a good old geek - and looking for modes of expression without those limits he has to respect as a tattooist - V landed on digital art and is continuously evolving along with the unfolding of new graphic technologies.
thus becoming
“a skillful and advanced painter who seamlessly blends traditional and digital techniques to conjure dark fantastical portraits and surreal landscapes”,
described as
“an artist of profound depth, merging abstract travels with tangible experiences”,
whose art is
“an intricate interplay of light and darkness, evoking both intrigue and introspection”
and
“a deeply satisfying experience, exploring the depths of human existence”.
Although his creations have been called “...all utterly captivating, it's like Tim Burton marrying a character straight out of a Japanese anime, and their child settling in Europe” (and as much as he likes this definition!), some of V's inspirational models are timeless geniuses like Caravaggio and Leonardo, ground breakers like Bosch, Goya, van Gogh, Schiele, Modigliani, De Chirico, de Lempicka, Boccioni, and visionaries like Giger.
